I had planned to reveal a painting I am working on, as I absolutely love it… but alas, it’s not finished yet. Next week, perhaps?
But in the meanwhile, I have some exciting news. I’ve been taking some of my spiritual art into a new direction… into jewelery! I love this idea, and I’m very excited about it.
I especially think this could be very meaningful jewelery for folks who have a loved one they carry around in their heart… a husband they are apart from all day at work and can’t wait to see at the end of the day… a dear friend who lives across the country but who you feel connected to… a loved one who has passed on but whose presence you feel every day.
In this necklace, I’ve taken the souls from my beloved Nighttime Reunion painting, and encased them in a heart. Along with three gorgeous green connector beads, the necklace culminates in a key… because you know that your soul connection to your loved ones holds the key to your heart. On the opposite side, an oval peacock colored gem sits next to the word “eternal” that I clipped out of a vintage 1920 dictionary, and sealed in an oval setting.
All hung on a beautiful antique bronze chain with a lovely hook and eye clasp, this necklace hangs 18 inches long.
Purchased alone, or along with a Giclee print of Nighttime Reunion as a gift set, this would make a lovely Valentine’s present for a very special person… .
I love it. I’ll be showcasing a new, one-of-a-kind piece of jewelery each Friday for the next several weeks. Come back next week to see what I’ve made next! And join me on Monday for a new Thought on Health… as I tackle cosmetics! xoxo
