Working in healthcare for almost three decades now, I’ve had quite a few experiences with folks who were near death, patients who were actively dying, and patients who had near death experiences and later told me about them. I even became a certified Death Doula to get additional training on how to help folks as they transition out of their physical bodies.
Everything I’ve witnessed and learned about death has all added up to one takeaway: there are always others present, supporting you, and love surrounding you.
And I think it’s so comforting, to know no one dies alone.
Think of all of the billions of souls that have lived and gone before you, that not only make you who you are biologically but who have crossed over, and wait for you still, on the other side of that veil. People you know and loved, people you never met, generations and generations of folks over countless centuries and beyond… all knowing exactly who you are and welcoming you home.
Row after row after row of beautiful soul energies, lighting up as they come to greet you.
I love that image so much that I painted it again for you, for the fourth time (you can find all my previous soul paintings here.)
Once no part of my physical body remains, then every single part of it, every single atom and every single molecule, has been transformed back into the massive soup of matter that makes up the entire Universe surrounding us right in this very moment.
You can not possibly be more at one with the totality of everything you love, and everyone you have ever loved, than to dissolve into them all. No separation. The ultimate reconnection. A coming home to everything you’ve ever loved that has gone before you.
I call this painting The Earth’s Embrace and it’s my expression of how surrounded we are, whether we know it or not, by loved ones waiting. No one ever is truly alone, no one ever actually dies alone (no matter what the circumstances look like on this earthly realm) and I hope you love this painting and find it comforting, like I do.
(Sorry about the watermark, but I always see my art pop up on social media channels with no credit to me as the artist… now I’m forced to watermark the images but of course the original painting does not have the watermark on it.)
Let me show you how I created it!
The Earth’s Embrace
- I started by painting a background of indigo and violet:
2. then added specks of white to create the multidimensional universe around the earth:
3. then I dragged dots of different colors across the canvas from all directions, row after row after row of souls surrounding us:
4. then I painted the earth’s background in:
5. and added a bunch of streams of pure positive energy surrounding the world in an uplifting embrace:
6. Then I sketched in the world, choosing a vantage point that is slightly above the earth (the North Pole of the earth angled towards us) to further the felt sense of looking down on the earth from a distance:
7. I painted in the land masses:
8. then spent some time adding dimension to the waters and continents:
9. then finished by adding layers of irridescent paint that give the canvas, when seen from different angles, a violet and indigo glow… you can see it in some of these pictures I took of the canvas at slight angles:
And here is the finished painting… The Earth’s Embrace.
You can find details about this canvas (and if you feel the comfort and love I infused into it while I was painting it, maybe I painted it for you? I can’t wait to send it to its forever home, and you can order it right here.). It’s gallery wrapped and painted on all sides, no need to frame this original canvas comes ready to hang!

Just remember, we are never alone and our entire earth is held in a collective soul embrace…
xoxoxo,
