FAQ: Our Natural Transition to Vegetarian…

I have been asked four times in the past two weeks about my thoughts on food choices for children, so I figured this is the Universe asking me to blog about it 🙂 Concerned parents were wondering if they should be forcing their children to eat a certain amount of veggies each day, and yet other parents were concerned that their children may not be getting enough meat. I’ve thought long and hard about what I believe. I’ve considered everything I know from my education as a physician and everything I *feel* as an intuitive mother, and I have developed […]

Thoughts on Health… the Brain, part 2

Part two of Brain Health today… the energetic health of our brains! Coming up on Friday… a painting reveal! See you there! xoxo   When nothing is sure, Everything is possible. – Margaret Drabble     On Monday, we talked about how the brain ages… how it’s natural tendency is to get stuck in routine, limited by the confines of the skull, limited by concrete thinking. As we age, our brain goes literally from being malleable, flexible, growing, open fontanels and unfused skull plates… to encasement in bone, linear thinking, a huge storage place for labels and facts, repetitive neuronal

Thoughts on Health… The Brain, Part 1

Thoughts on Health… The Brain, Part 1     There’s a lot of suffering in thinking you should know and be right and figure things out and that sort of thing. When we are out there in ego, we believe we can know and should know. When we come back to center, we realize that we don’t know and we don’t need to know. So it’s a coming back to center that has us on the right path. – Cheri Huber The brain is our knowledge power house. It is our database, stores our memories, sorts facts, a

New Beginnings

The past several nights have been near freezing temps and I wake to find a frosty lawn. It makes me worry that I put my seedlings out too early, so I go to check on how they have survived in their makeshift greenhouses. Walking out onto my front porch, I’m reminded that life doesn’t always run as smoothly as we hope. Not only have the temps been dipping below what I was anticipating, but the cover to one of my greenhouses has blown away in this passionate windy weather we’ve been having. Making do, by putting some saran wrap over

Wow. The weather this past weekend really knocked my socks off! The warmth and sun has made me into a new woman! And like I do every year when the earth begins to warm and spring buds start popping up everywhere, I get spring cleaning fever. Not just in my home (although I spring cleaned all our closets over the weekend and that felt super good!) but also I want to spring clean my body, from the inside out. I know there are a million ways to do this… raw food diets and clean diets and fasting and liver cleanses

Thoughts on Health… Positive thinking and a Dream Revelation

I was told recently that life was *easy* for me because I was a positive thinker. I almost fainted… and laughed. I am so far from a natural positive thinker it’s not even funny, so I didn’t laugh. I was extremely pessimistic and worried as a child. Through lots of diligent work I *literally* am not even the same person that I was years ago.   But I didn’t change this by “positive thinking” — that’s for sure!     I don’t even like the idea of *positive thinking* at all. Because positive thinking is usually fake… something you try
