10 Ways Grounding Can Directly Support Your Health During This Pandemic

I’ve gotten lots of emails asking if grounding is a good idea as a way to boost health during this pandemic. The medical literature suggests the answer to this is a resounding “Yes!” for many reasons, probably more than you think. As you might know, most patients who suffer serious illness during Covid19 infection do so because of the body’s inflammatory response (the often referred to “cytokine storm” in the lung adds to this), subsequent hypoxia from lung inflammation, and hypercoagulation of the blood, leading to blood clots. When You Are Doing Something Meaningful, Your Brain Works Better

Now there is medical proof that the more you are self motivated when learning something, the better your brain works.   Published October 22, 2014 in Neuron, researchers found that having your own internal motivation, in the form of curiosity, not only allows your brain to have enhanced memory and function. Being curious about learning something enhanced the study participants absorption and ability to master the information they were curious to learn and even enhanced their ability to remember non-related information alongside it. Juicing is powerful and cleansing. Purified water is hydrating and supportive. But inevitably, with every holistic healing modality I worked with, there would be some patients who benefit greatly and some who get absolutely no results whatsoever.   Some folks heal with a certain …

Low Vit D Linked To Increase In Dementia And Broken Bones (You Can Prevent It)

Low vitamin D levels are associated with a substantial acceleration of memory loss and cognitive decline, a new study shows.   Published Sept 14, 2015 in JAMA Neurology, researchers looked at baseline vitamin D levels and mental status change in over 380 adults (average age 75 years old.)   Here is what they found:   35% of participants were vit D insufficient. Average vit D levels were lowest among participants found to have dementia (average levels were 16 ng/mL — goal vit D levels are 40 ng/mL or higher according to the Vitamin D Council.) Followed for almost 5 years, …
