Pinterest Challenge #1: Girls Rule! (and everyone gets a Freebie!)

So on Monday we were talking about my last period — fun stuff, huh?   And I shared with you my two fav ways to deal with the nitty gritty of menstruation.     Then later that day I was on Pinterest (love it over in the fantastical world of Pinterest-land, don’t you?) and I had fun creating a Female Health Pinboard. Of course I included all my fav things like the Diva Cup… cloth pads… my female health eBook… some artwork and fun quotes… my fav organic perfume… my fav organic soap… chocolate covered strawberries… champagne… all kinds of […]

The Two Healthiest Ways To Have A Period Are Also The Two Cheapest!

For my last period, I couldn’t find my much beloved Diva cup. (I can literally hear all the guys reading this instantly click off this blog post, but if you are brave enough to make it past that first sentence I think you’ve made it past the hard part.) Well, I was debating whether to use the cloth pads my daughter uses or break down and use a tampon, which I haven’t used in years and years. I didn’t really love the idea of going through my week wearing cloth pads exclusively around the clock… but in the end I

Change Your Daughter’s Life Today!

I am pushing back the chakra series one week because today is Labor Day!!! As promised, I’m giving away 5 copies of my “Goddess Delivers” Giclee Art in honor of what Labor Day means to me and women around the globe. Because Labor Day isn’t just a day to rest and recover from long hours on the job… it’s a chance to turn around society’s concept of what “birth” is and a chance to change how your own daughter grows up and anticipates the birth process.   I was watching Good Luck Charlie the other evening with my daughter on

I have a particular affection for Gina and asked her to share her website and thoughts on my blog today because I suffered incredibly from anxiety as a child. It was so bad that sometimes I would literally pace my bedroom in a circle all night long until woke up in the morning passed out on the floor. It was so bad that I felt embarrassed about it. It

My secret to wiping out pit stink FOREVER!!! Even in the hottest weather!!!!

Never thought I’d be blogging about my armpit, so I had no idea what picture to put with this post… but luckily my hubby accidentally shot a random outtake picture of my pit/shoulder area when he was taking necklace pictures for me. So here we go… Armpit funk. I’ve had it all my life. Not super bad, mind you… just a little stickiness when I wake up in the morning, or afternoon funk from the southern heat of the SC lowcountry. I’ve tried lots of natural deodorants (I refuse to use antiperspirants) and enjoy them… but find they don’t it

How To Get The Best of Yeast

Yeast overgrowth is absolutely no fun. And it can really get worse in the warmer months as yeast love nothing more then moist, hot, sticky skin/mucosa to flourish on. I remember seeing a sweet older female patient that was absolutely miserable with Candida growth all over her skin… and it was particularly bad underneath her breasts where they touched her upper abdomen. Being that it was a particularly hot summer, she was hot and itchy and in her own personal hell! I was a bit more conventional back then, so I’m especially thinking of her as I type up this
