Laughing At Myself

My kids recently asked me what was the most embarrassing thing that ever happened to me. Well, lots of them I had to censor for my kids… and don’t particularly want to share on the internet, either. But once I started really digging into the G rated stuff that I could share, I started laughing so hard with them, and it felt soooo good. Hearing them laugh along too just had me breathless with joy. I told them about the time when I was twelve and I was on a family trip with my parents and brothers. We […]

Thoughts On Health… Tribute to a friend

Last weekend, someone I love very dearly passed away. The kind of someone who you know you had a soul contract with… someone who comes into your life and forever alters the path you walk. She was someone who I know I will have a lifetime with again one day… someone who came into my life at the exact perfect time and who opened my eyes to life in a way I had never been able to grasp before. Ever since she transitioned on, I can feel her. Closer than ever, I hold tightly to her presence in my life.

Gazing balls for your gorgeous fall yard… craft tutorial

“Gazing Balls” just doesn’t sound right, does it? I mean, I have a spam filter and all, but dang. Gazing balls? I almost wrote “Glitter Balls” but oh my goodness that’s worse. So “Gazing Balls” it is. Overlook the name. Ahem. Because this craft is a really fun and simple one to do outside with your children this fall. Everyone loves the cooler weather and the bright, vibrant colors that fall brings, right? Why not capitalize on all this fall freshness and add some sparkle to your fading garden beds, getting them beautiful for the darker, colder winter months ahead.

More good news for your Monday Morning…

If you are like me you love coffee. I mean everything about it… the smell… the taste… the warmth… Likewise for tea. I just love it! Chai lattes being my favorite, but cinnamon, earl grey, camomile, peppermint… love them all. Besides all of the recent good press coffee has been getting on all fronts (anti-depressant, exercise adjunctive, antioxidant…) and all of the good press that tea has always gotten (antioxidant, anti-aging, anti-cancer, etc…) they are both being lauded now for something else… reducing the over all incidence of MRSA. MRSA is a much feared pathogen in our society,

National Breast Cancer Awareness Month: Balloons for Audrey

Recently a sweet mother one of my local groups sent out an email that changed me. Audrey was asking for breast milk donations because she recently found her breast cancer has returned and she wanted to secure a supply of milk for her nursing baby girl. I was so touched, seeing the love that Audrey has towards her baby girl and the extent that she would go through to continue to feed her breast milk… it made me desperately wish that I was still nursing and could help. As many of you know, I was absolutely smitten with breastfeeding… I
