Thoughts On Health, Thyroid

I am busy getting ready for the next Etsy show in downtown Charleston… it will be this Saturday, from 10AM to 3PM in the Music Farm. Stop by and say hi! I will be bringing lots of stuff… brand new necklaces I have not released into my shop yet, reusable grocery totes, art prints, notecard sets, my book… but the best part is I will have a great sale running on anyone who signs up for any of my Health eCourses. I will have the kits ready to give to you to take home in hand, and fabulous pricing on […]

Saving Seeds, a tutorial (i.e. the perks of lazy gardening)

All this heat is causing my plants to bolt early!  Here, you can see my basil has started shooting up flower/seed heads…   I’m really excited about this tutorial. And the reason I’m excited is because I’m going to be trying it for the first time myself, along with anyone out there who wants to try it with me! Okay, so I admit that this topic is only an issue because of my sub-par gardening skills.  That and the extreme heat/drought that we are experiencing in this part of SC.  All of my (admittedly unattended) garden crops are bolting…

Favorite Children’s Books

I was going through our old stash of children’s books… organizing our bookshelves… and I found myself lost in a daze of the sweet sweet memories of reading picture books to my children. Oh how I loved that. Although we have evolved into reading chapter books now, there are so many great children’s books that I found along the way that I want to hold on to. I thought I’d share some of the gems I discovered with you all here, since I know there are mama’s out there with kids young enough to sit on their lap and enjoy

Thoughts on Health… Chronic Pain

Thanks for the wonderful feedback on the video I posted last week. If you missed it, you can check it out here. In that video, I presented the idea that disease is evidence of health. I used acute illnesses (like runny noses) and physical symptoms (like a tumor) to illustrate how physically expressing a disease allows movement towards health. I got several emails afterwards asking how chronic pain would play into that. So this video is really like part 2 — Disease as Evidence of Health… Chronic conditions. In it, I talk about what the energy of chronic pain represents

Hearts all along the way…

my son, the trail blazer We went up to Virginia to meet up with my parents and do a good deal of hiking in the Shenandoah National Park! It was fabulous! We packed in 4 different trails and the Luray Caverns too! We had a great time… and I felt surrounded by love. Lots of evidence of that too, along the way. I kept my eyes open and picked up a few little heart stones from each trail… they were easy to find. A few were too big to keep but I snapped some pics so that I could

Thoughts on Health… Disease as Evidence of Health

Yes.  I wrote that right.  Disease equals evidence of health.  Or at least the possibility of health.  Think I’m crazy?  Watch my You Tube video to hear me out. It’s my first attempt at a video, and I’d love to know what you think.  I would like to have a video on Thoughts on Health occasionally, as well as silly little things that would be far easier to show you on a video then write about.  Like… next time I henna my hair, I thought I’d give you a sneak peek.  Or next time I’m on an adventure with the
