Slow Down Aging By Staying Hydrated… Especially Important This Spring & Summer

Known as the Elixir of Life for good reason, water is absolutely critical to our well being in every way. In fact, a new study just published in Jan 2023 in eBioMedicine found that dehydration, measured by how concentrated the salt is in your bloodstream, is actually a risk factor for premature death.  Almost just as bad?  It also accelerated biological aging.  Mean if you run chronically dehydrated, your body is aging faster than your actual chronological age.  And the worst part is that this is with your serum sodium still being in within normal limits — […]

The Perfect Way To Welcome In A New Year: Declutter Your Life First

Cleaning before guests arrive for the holidays? Include decluttering in the process. I can think of no better way to set the stage for a brand new year, 2022, to be full of expression and growth than to simplify and declutter now. You need space to expand, it’s as simple as that. Clutter stops growth and expansion, and it affects your health, both mentally and physically. I want you to feel like your living space — whether it is a single room, an entire apartment, or a massive multilevel home — just wraps you up in a

Sudden Loss and Unexpected Grief… Holistic Ways To Help Your Body Find Relief

I recently became a Death Doula. You would think as a physician we would be taught in detail about the death and dying process in medical school, but we weren’t. Not at all. We were taught how to pronounce someone dead, how to preform advanced life support to try to stave off death, how to sign a death certificate… but never about the intricacies of it: what the body feels and experiences as the soul prepares to leave it, what the dying process looks like, what order the organ systems shut down in and how that looks and feels,

How Your Posture Is Impacting Your Health

Last year when I ran my annual Chakra Healing Class, one of the most interesting topics came up. On of the participants (thank you Steve!) mentioned that he noticed becoming more short of breath when his posture slumped. That brought on a wonderful discussion of all the different ways that poor posture literally physically affects your health… everything from dry mouth and dental issues to decreased oxygenation, decreased sleep quality and even increased ADHD symptoms.   But posture affects more than just our physical body… it affects our spirit.       In class I shared a link

15 Things You Walk By Every Day That Would Ground You If You Touched It

Hello! I recently received a great question from a reader asking me to demonstrate with a ground test meter that I was truly grounded while touching cement. Good idea. Not only do I show you that you absolutely are grounded when touching cement in the video below, but I show you 15 different surfaces — besides just grass — that you probably walk by each day and didn’t know could ground you. At the end, I show you the very strongest way to ground out of them all — yes, an even stronger ground connection than standing barefoot on

OCD May Stem From Birth Trauma

A new study (published in JAMA Psychiatry Oct 5, 2016) reveals that the more stressful the birth is on the baby, the higher the risk that baby has for developing Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder (OCD) decades later.   Children who were born prematurely and children who experienced stress during delivery both had statistically significant increases in the rates of developing OCD during adolescence and young adulthood. Stressful birth circumstances included: maternal smoking during pregnancy, cesarean section delivery, preterm birth, low APGAR scores, unusually low or high birth weight, breech presentation at labor and more.   The Study: Researchers looked at a 2.4
