The Hidden Benefits Of Grounding: Why It Helps More Than Just Your Body

Clear air is awesome and nurturing. Juicing is powerful and cleansing. Meditation is relaxing and centering. Purified water is hydrating and supportive. Nutritional supplements and even prescription medications can be balancing and healing.   But inevitably, with every holistic healing modality I worked with, there would be some patients who benefit greatly and some who get absolutely no results whatsoever. Some people heal with a certain diet. Some heal with a particular exercise practice. Some heal with a prescription medication, some with a supportive supplement, some with a life saving surgery, some with a chiropractic adjustment, some with acupuncture. […]

Aspirin Prevents Cancer… But There Is A Much Safer Way

Yet another study reports that long term aspirin use is associated with a reduced risk of death from all causes… …and specifically a reduced risk of death from cancer.   Remember when I blogged about this back in August 2014? The study at that time reported a 30% — 35% reduction in the risk of developing colorectal cancer, a 25% reduction in the risk of developing esophageal and stomach cancers, and smaller risk reduction in the other cancer categories (prostate, lung, breast.) The latest study back this finding up, finding a 7% reduction in mortality from all causes put together

Grounding Around EMFs and Dirty Electricity… A Medical Perspective

What happens to the human body when we are grounding indoors… around EMFs and dirty electricity? Give me a few minutes of your time to explain by clicking the video below:     I’m not a physicist or an electrical engineer. So I don’t pretend to know all there is to know about electricity, but I do know the human body. And I know how the human body is responding to being grounded, indoors, surrounded by EMFs, cell phones, wires, power lines, etc… all around. And the body’s response, hands down, every time, is to heal.   We know from

How To Ground Outside Without Getting Bitten Up By Bugs

The weather is warming up here… …and this always means my inbox is full of emails from patients and readers asking:       How can you reduce your chance of tick bites (and other insect bites) while still connecting to the earth outside?   I really don’t want you to limit or stop your healing practice of connecting to Mother Earth outside daily. OCD May Stem From Birth Trauma

A new study (published in JAMA Psychiatry Oct 5, 2016) reveals that the more stressful the birth is on the baby, the higher the risk that baby has for developing Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder (OCD) decades later.   Children who were born prematurely and children who experienced stress during delivery both had statistically significant increases in the rates of developing OCD during adolescence and young adulthood. Stressful birth circumstances included: maternal smoking during pregnancy, cesarean section delivery, preterm birth, low APGAR scores, unusually low or high birth weight, breech presentation at labor and more.   The Study: Researchers looked at a 2.4

Your Extra Weight Is Not As Bad For You As Your Doctor Wants You To Think

I am always reading the medical literature looking for positive messages to share with you. And during the holiday season… when most of us have naturally gained a little weight… this is the perfect time to share today’s uplifting medical study with you. This latest study didn’t receive much attention (the negative scary reports always seem to be the ones your doctors want to share with you!) but I think it should have.   Researchers looked at two very large databases, examining body mass (Body Mass Index — BMI) and metastatic renal (kidney) cancer survival rates. They found that obesity
