5G: The Good News and the Bad News (there is good news!)

5G: You may love or you may hate the advancement in technology that higher speeds might bring, but no matter how you feel about the tech, you are right to be concerned about the health ramifications.     Although the increase in the EMF and radiation exposures will have ramifications on humans, animals, vegetation and the environment of our planet earth, I am going to focus today on the health effects of 5G on the human body. I get emails from worried readers constantly, like this one:   Do you have any advise on the soon coming 5G that will […]

How To Prevent Bug Bites While Grounding Outdoors

The weather is warming up here where I live… …and this always means my inbox is full of emails from patients and readers asking:     How can you reduce your chance of tick bites (and other insect bites) while still connecting to the earth outside?   Especially with the latest press about the Zika virus, patients are wanting to know more than ever how to reduce their risk of mosquito bites and yet continue the beautiful, healing practice of touching the earth outside daily. I really don’t want you to limit or stop your healing practice of connecting to

Giveaway: Heart Centered Guidance

I am beyond excited to share this with you today — something I’ve been personally enjoying for months now and have experienced first hand how valuable an intuitive tool it truly is. My dear friend Jorie Cwik has spent years collecting hearts in nature. She practices “heart spotting” as a wonderfully beneficial act of presence, meditation, and communion with nature — a practice I agree with whole-heartedly.Check out some of the hearts I’ve found in nature and blogged about here, here and here! Jorie has combined the hearts she has found gracing Mother Earth over the years with her own

The Evidence Is Everywhere…

I always like to look for hearts wherever I go… I’ve been collecting hearts in nature for many years (and they’ve been the subject of blog posts here, here and here!)   If you’ve been a reader for a while, then you already know that I’m going through a huge personal transition in my life.   It’s fair to say that I’ve had some uncertain and scary days.   I’ve had my moments where I have plowed through the day with my head hung low… forgetting to look out for the hearts in our world.   But then things like

Finding My Way…

I’m going to repost an old blog post from several years ago… one of my favorites. I collect hearts in nature because they help me remember that we are never alone as we walk on this earth, no matter how hard the journey seems. I need to give that reminder myself, right about now… more than ever before.   I hope you enjoy these photographs I have taken of hearts I’ve noticed in nature, and I hope you’ll find a moment today to look around and find a heart in your own neck of the woods…. xoxoxo, Laura

New Beginnings

The past several nights have been near freezing temps and I wake to find a frosty lawn. It makes me worry that I put my seedlings out too early, so I go to check on how they have survived in their makeshift greenhouses. Walking out onto my front porch, I’m reminded that life doesn’t always run as smoothly as we hope. Not only have the temps been dipping below what I was anticipating, but the cover to one of my greenhouses has blown away in this passionate windy weather we’ve been having. Making do, by putting some saran wrap over

Hearts in Nature

I love hearts. Is that redundant? Either way, I love to photograph hearts whenever they pop up in my life. And as you could predict, the more I focus on them and photograph them, they more they seem to pop up! Since February is Valentine’s month, I thought I’d share some of my favorite hearts with you. Today, I’ll show you some of my favorite hearts in nature. I just had one pop up on a wet day recently… water on pavement, found when we were playing at a park with friends a few days ago. Love that one so
